New Bible study – Are You a Disciple? – available August 3

“I became a Christian when I was just a child,” said Laurie, “but in my twenties I came to a spiritual crossroads. My life and my marriage were falling apart. I was faced with two options. Option one was to continue doing life my way, as a pretty good religious person. It’s what I call casual Christianity. Option two was to accept Jesus’ call to ‘Follow Me,’ and become His disciple. I chose option two, to follow Jesus – to become a disciple – and I am so grateful that I did.”

Laurie outlines the differences between these two options by contrasting the 7 characteristics of casual Christians with the 7 distinctives of devoted disciples. “A Christian is a believer,” she said. “A disciple is a follower.”
