Whoo-hoo!! Over the past year, Priority’s staff and I have been working together diligently to prepare this study for you and your group. And speaking of the Priority staff, check out what they’ve been doing over the past week:
Shanda Stiles, Priority’s IT & Events Director, is creating the new webpage for the study. When it rolls out on Monday, the final webpage will include much more information. The other big job Shanda oversees is Priority’s online store. All of the new resources (workbooks, leader sets, leader guides, DVDs, downloadable MP4 and MP3 files, etc.) must be loaded and uploaded into the store, and it is a HUGE, TEDIOUS job. Please pray for Shanda as she completes the final to-dos before Monday.
Emily Ryan, Priority’s Executive Director, edited, proofed, reproofed, and re-reproofed the workbook and all of the videos for the study. Her editorial eye has enhanced the study immensely, and Emily and I are both thrilled with the finished product. And if you saw my interview last week, Emily also planned and produced that. A true team player, she also wrote all of the store descriptions for all of the Are You a Disciple? products (of which there are nearly 20). After the launch, Emily will focus on writing an exciting new Bible study for Priority, so please pray for her.
Emily Gentiles, Priority’s Administrative Assistant AND newest staff member, hit the ground running when she joined us last January. Since then, her gift for graphic design, layout, and all things administrative have made her a major force in creating all of the beautiful Are You a Disciple? resources. I am in love with the beautiful workbook cover and interior pages Emily has created! And the icing on the cake? When you order Are You a Disciple? online or by phone, Emily will oversee your order with excellence. Keep her in your prayers — August and September are always our busiest months and, because of the new study, Emily will be VERY busy.
Someone asked me the other day, “Laurie, what will your next study be?” Honestly, I don’t even want to think about that right now. I can, however, tell you exactly what I’ll be doing on Monday: celebrating with the Priority staff and praising and thanking God for allowing us serve Him and disciple others!
I would love to invite you to come to our office on Monday and celebrate with us. But unfortunately, our office is currently being overtaken by Mount Disciple — boxes upon boxes filled with Are You a Disciple? resources. We barely have room for ourselves. But in the spirit of celebration, I want to give you a little somethin’ somethin’ AND a sneak peek.
Emily Gentiles created a beautiful bookplate/sticker of the 7 Distinctives of Devoted Disciples (it fits beautifully inside the cover of the workbook). The bookplate/sticker will be available for a limited time with some of our Are You a Disciple? resources. But for now, I hope you’ll enjoy using is as a pin or printable (7 Distinctives of Disciples PDF).

Precious sister, when you wake up Monday morning, we would certainly appreciate your prayers. It is our deepest desire that God will mightily bless and use Are You a Disciple? to raise up a new generation of disciples. How I pray that you are one already and that each and every one of the 7 Distinctives of Devoted Disciples are evident in your life and walk with Christ. But if not . . . I would sure love to help you become one.
