  2. Laurie, In response to the last two sessions. I have said never to God and it’s good to be right here many times. We have moved five times to follow my husband’s career path. Two of those times were unplanned moves. I thought to myself, no way no how am I going to do this. But both times God showed up on the scene and said to me, “Yes you can”. Like the donkey in your video I wanted to state my case and make my point. Very loudly I might add. But each time we have moved the Lord has shown us that “we can do it”, if we just trust in Him. Both times we have found extraordinary churches and wonderful church families as well as an opportunity to grow in Him!! Now albeit a little reluctantly at times, I can say “what’s next Lord”? Thank you for your reminder of God’s providence in our lives as we allow Him to lead our paths.

  3. Thanks for the reminders of God’s goodness in our lives. We are truly blessed when we let go and let God be God! As I put on my war garments each day I pray that God will shine, that I cause no pain to my fellow man and the glory all goes to Him. On another note that is one special donkey thinking he was in control!

  4. “”Gods will”” was made real & very clear to me in a very dark moment of my life. I grew up with no brothers or sisters but I did have one 1st cousin. We did everything together from climbing trees as children to first dates & then on into marriages. We were confidants & best friends for life. Then at the age of 36 he was diagnosed with a cancer that had spread from his stomach onto his pancreas, spleen & liver. I immediately began to pray for Gods mighty healing…I searched out ALL the scripture I could find I regards to healing & I “”really did”” go in to my prayer closet. ( I was a babe ib Christ then & didn’t know ), and prayed NON-stop. But with all my passion, ( & begging), I couldnt save him. OH!!!! I was mad at God. I had LONG conversations with God with much crying & deep grieving but ………there wasn’t an answer. A very close friend of Dennie’s made a comment about Gods will….shewwwweeee and I just about whacked him but he was on the phone. (Now I know God saves us from “ourselves”). Then came condemnation….it was MY fault!!!! I didn’t know enough, I hadn’t prayed the right way or long enough & then resignment. But almost a year later, to date, I wa going down the road with my 3 kids on the way to a T-ball practice & this “thought”, ( Gods healing Words ), just popped into my head, “”Your children are not your own””……WHAT??? Where did that come from?
    I reached over & turned the radio up louder….but it came again. “”your children are not your own”” First FEAR hit me like a ton of bricks then suddenly a great peace came over me & I finally understood….I started crying so hard I had to pull over but at the same time I was asking God to forgive me & then finally laughing & giving each one of my lids to him by name. “Not my will it yours Dear Lord”. But yet & even today, sometimes In fear, I will “”try”” & make it my way. Then I hear this song in my heart, Jesus Take the Wheel. And I remember to let Him steer while I just pedal & even then sometimes I hear Him say, “Slow down”. Thanks again for bringing us this that we ALL need to hear every day.

    • Sweet, sweet story of God reminding us that we are not in control. Thank you for sharing your testimony, “Granny10”. It just hit me that Laurie and I were talking about trying to control when the neighbor’s donkey took control of our segment. Ha! God certainly has a sense of humor. I so appreciate His grace and mercy when I try to take control.
