Front Porch Friday: Sick Day

Front Porch Friday logoI’m sick with the yeechy-est cold/sinus infection I’ve had in a very long time. Yesterday I even broke down and bought a Neti-Pot. Yeech, indeed.

And because you really don’t want to see my yeechy self on the porch (and trust me, you don’t), and because I really could use a little help in dealing with my gross-and-unattractive, sinus-infected self, I  have the perfect video for both of us today. Watch. I promise. You’ll be blessed.

  2. All of these women are very beautiful. I believe they have inner beauty as well as physical beauty, which was even better reflected when they were interviewed in person and were shown their portraits. I have never met anyone, and I do mean that I have never met anyone, in whom I do not see some innate beauty and strength of character that is God given. In fact that’s what I look for. They may be temporarily down in their spirit due to circumstances, but their true selves show through. It is this type of woman that I am drawn to, so that I can help draw them out so that they can again recognize themselves for who God made them to be, that even in their present broken circumstances, they have goodness and worth and true God given beauty that He wants to use for His glory. Every day I get up and enhance as best I can what God made me to look like,but I have never bought into the notion that If I buy “Brand X” that it will make me beautiful physically, or that it will fix a broken heart, or that it will altar the circumstances that God currently has for me. My prayer is that women everywhere will realize that everything they yearn for can be theirs through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To God be the glory for all that He does!

  4. Wow. That was a surprise to see the difference in the drawings. May God always let us see the beauty inside others that we met while traveling this life. This is my day to cry because the Dove production filled my heart with how God made us in his image and he doesn’t make any mistakes. Thanks for sharing today. Will be praying for your healing. Miss you!
