My Bill celebrated a big birthday this weekend, and the Cole clan partied! And yes, it did affect my Get Down Glo Girl weigh-in this morning – I’ll share that with you in a minute. But first, come on over and party with the Cole’s!
This is my youngest son, J.J., with my newest granddaughter, Caroline. Is there anything cuter and more kissable than a fat baby? Nothing . . . except maybe a fat grandbaby!
And here’s Caroline all sacked out in the Moby Wrap with her amazing mommy, my beloved Stephanie.
This was a first: the grandkids (Juliette and Ezra) wanted Bill to open his cards before opening his presents! They picked out some hilarious, silly cards, and were all giggly about them. That’s their daddy and our oldest son, David, on the couch with Bill.
Kevin, our fun middle son came, too (Juliette loves him).
As you can see, I took quite a few family photos. I did not, however, take pictures of the party food . . . of which there was a TON. Barbequed brisket, smoked chicken, squash dressing, potato salad, pork and beans, banana pudding and, of course, birthday cake (chocolate sheet cake, Bill’s favorite).
So, are you wondering how all of that party food affected my weigh-in? Well, it showed up in 1 additional pound from last week’s weigh-in.
But I have no regrets, because I am committed to long-term weight-loss and healthy eating. I will continue the Get Down Glo Girl journey with you through November, but when that’s over, I will continue on – I just won’t blog about it every week.
You see, even though I may not lose the 10-20 pounds I wanted to in our Get Down Glo Girl 10-week time frame, I will not quit after week 10. Why? Because Get Down Glo Girl has given me the extra push I needed to begin and to achieve these 3 goals:
- Long-term healthy eating habits
- Long-term healthy exercise habits
- Long-term health and fitness
Like one of our super inspirational Get Down Glo Girls (Stephanie at http://www.livinghealthyforhim.com/), my goal is to live healthy for Him because after all . . .
I want to be around to celebrate LOTS more birthdays with Bill, my kids, and my grandkids!
Your partying sister,
Why do you want to lose weight? What are your long-term goals and why? Post your comments, girls, and let’s encourage one another!
