Like the sweet reward at the end of a very long project (as in my year-long Are You a Disciple? Bible study project), Bill and I were gifted with a grandkid sleepover last night! This is what it looked like this morning:
It’s a happy thumbs up day from Caroline, Ezra, and Granddaddy! But one little grandkid is still snoozing away . . .
Snuggled up under her favorite blanket, that’s our precious Juliette. When she wakes up, she’ll discover the strawberry glazed donuts waiting for her in the kitchen (from Granddaddy). Her brother and sister have already consumed their custom-order donuts — chocolate filled with a few donut holes on the side. (Don’t worry, healthier food will be the mainstay for the rest of the day.)
If you saw my post last week, you’ve probably picked up on one of my long-held beliefs: Long-term projects require short-term rewards along the way.
I can almost see the finish line of the Are You a Disciple? project. In fact, on Monday, August 3rd, the Priority Ministries staff and I will cross the finish line as we launch that new study together. And the reward that awaits us? Making disciples of Jesus Christ! (All glory and praise to You, O Lord!)
Today, I want to invite you to begin a long-term project: to become a disciple who makes disciples. Priority Ministries and I want to help you do that. Are You a Disciple? will be ready for you and your group on August 3. But here’s the very best part: becoming a disciple and making disciples is a long-term project with eternal rewards.
The promo video below is an invitation with additional information about the study. I hope you’ll watch it, share it with your friends, and invite them to begin a long-term project with you by doing the study together as a small group (my friend, Shanda, and I will even help you lead it).
It’s time now for me to get back to the reward at hand: GRANDKIDS!
Love you, sister!
