Deep within the DNA of every woman is a desire to be beautiful. As little girls, we snuck into our mother’s make-up drawer to try on lipstick. As pre-teens, we couldn’t wait to shave our hairy little legs. But when we became full-fledged teenagers, our desire to be beautiful kicked into overdrive. And if we’re honest, it hasn’t let up much since.
Just think about all the money you’ve spent on make-up and moisturizers, manicures and pedicures, exercise equipment and gym memberships, and possibly even plastic surgery and Botox. The female desire to be beautiful is both powerful and profitable – just ask Sarah Blakely, the millionaire creator of Spanx.
Right now, you may be thinking, “Beauty? Are you serious, Laurie? What a shallow topic for a blog post.” I know. I used to think that, too. But that was before God showed me the truth about beauty. And trust me, to Him, it is no shallow subject.
After studying God’s Word intensely, and writing a 7-week Bible study about beauty, Beauty by The Book, I can assure you of these two facts:
- God thinks YOU are beautiful (Psalm 45:11).
- God wants YOU to become more beautiful every year of your life – biblically beautiful, that is.
Girl, you really can be more beautiful at 99 than you ever were at 19. How? By studying the dos and don’ts of biblical beauty and applying them to your life.
Wanna be more beautiful at 99 than you were at 19? Then I invite you to participate in the Beauty by The Book online study where you will learn the dos and don’ts of biblical beauty and how to apply them to your life. The study starts right here on this blog on Tuesday, Jan. 17th. All you need to do is order your workbook (they’re half-price – just $5.99), and show up right here on Jan. 17th. Emily Ryan will be hosting the study each week . . . but I plan to pop in regularly. For more info, watch the video below or click here.
