Many of my friends and their little ones have enjoyed a real-life “farm experience” lately. We have a great fruit and vegetable farm located just outside Houston where they sell wonderful produce. But the real bonus – they grow big, juicy, delicious strawberries and you can have the experience of pickin’ your own! Believe me, there are many little ones running around with red fingers and bright red lips. Probably more make it to their tummy than the bucket!!
Even tho’ I recently planted some strawberries (a gardening project with my oldest granddaughter), most likely my summer supply will come from a Saturday morning trip to the produce farm. What could be better – the quiet of early morning with an occasional cow bellowing in the distance, wide open country spaces and luscious strawberries!!
