Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
Hebrews 12:1-2 NLT
On your mark, get set, GO! That’s what most days feel like—the start of a race. A race to accomplish everything on your to-do list at home. A race to complete everything on your to-do list at work. A race to plan meals, buy groceries, prepare meals, and clean up after meals. A race to run errands, fight the traffic and deal with all of those other drivers, too.
It’s a new day and the race is on. But focusing on your to-do list, getting things done, or consuming massive amounts of vitamins and caffeine won’t help you cross the finish line God’s way. The only way to run the race and finish well is by keeping your eyes on Jesus. So, focus on Him and follow His example today and and you’ll find all of the strength and inspiration you need to run. And run. And run.
On your mark, get set, GLO!
