As you can see by the picture, I got no porch today (we’ll return to our regular Front Porch Friday series next week). That’s because (whoo-hoo!) Shanda and I are heading to Willow Park Baptist Church (North Texas) for a women’s conference where I’ll be speaking tomorrow. Several hundred women are expected to attend, and I can’t wait to meet LOTS of them and share God’s Word with ALL of them.
Sure do wish you could jump in the car and go with us, glo girl. But since you can’t (bummer), would you please say a prayer for Shanda and me and especially for all of the women who will be attending the conference? Specifically, would you pray that each woman will receive and experience God’s grace this weekend (Heb. 4:16) and grow in His grace and knowledge (2 Pet. 3:18)? Bless you!
And while I’m asking . . .
Would you please pray for those two big suitcases there in the back of Shanda’s car?
Wanna know what’s up with the suitcases?
Well, those suitcases are full of Priority Bible Studies, copies of Emily’s book Guilt-Free Quiet Times, my CD teaching series, and assorted other resources we will sell at the Priority book table at the conference. Not only do those resources encourage women to give God glory and priority (our mission here at Priority), sales of those resources support Priority and help us pay the bills and produce other resources. So, dear glo girl, would you please pray that those suitcases will return home to Houston Saturday evening EMPTY. Thank you!
Okay, I’ve shared pictures and prayer requests. Now for the best part: praises!
Last Friday I shared with you that Priority is struggling financially. Our February and March income was waaaay down, and I needed you to know so you could pray AND so you could have the opportunity to give and help. So are you ready for a praise report? Here you go:
Praise #1: This week, sales of our resources picked up in our online store (thanks to all of you who ordered Bible studies and resources).
Praise #2: This week, several of you made online donations. Thanks to all of you precious glo girls who gave – we are ever so grateful.
Praise #3: This week, a few of you signed up to become monthly Priority Partners. Your commitment to stand with us on a monthly basis is an ENORMOUS encouragement and blessing to us, so THANK YOU.
Praise #4: God is FAITHFUL! He is answering your prayers in a powerful way, and we praise and thank Him for you and for His provision.
Although Priority is still a looong way from being where we need to be financially, we are so grateful for all that God has done in just one week.
But glo girl . . .
We still need your prayers.
We still need your donations.
And we still want to invite those of you who have been blessed by this ministry to become monthly Partners (your gift of $10 or more each month is a HUGE help to us).
So would you please just continue to pray . . . and obey? That’s all I ask. Bless you!
Time for Shanda and me to hop in the car and head North. Know of our prayers and thanksgiving to God for you today as we travel. You are so very dear to us. I’ll try to post a fun pic from the conference on Facebook tomorrow. And if those suitcases are empty, I will most definitely post a picture of that.
Trusting our faithful Father and loving you, glo girl!
Your sister,
P.S. One more thing: the pollen count has taken a toll on me this week, and I’m experiencing a little laryngitis (bad timing since I have to teach 3 sessions tomorrow). Would you please pray for my voice? I thank you and Shanda (who has no desire whatsoever to sub for me tomorrow) thanks you.
