I just returned home from an AMAZING retreat with the women at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, California. I’ll tell you more about that in a minute but first, you’ve just got to see something they gave me. It’s a picture. A picture of YOU. Take a look.
OK, so maybe you’re thinking, “That’s not me. That’s just a blinged-out piece of jewelry.” Well look a little closer. See that crown? Symbolically, that’s YOU. It is. Because (as I said in my Friday post) if you belong to Jesus, you are a daughter of the King. You are a princess. Thus, the blingy crown.
So what about the sword? Well, girl, you’re not just a woman. You’re a warrior. And Jesus has given you “the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” (Eph. 6:17). It’s the same sword He used to defeat Satan with in Matthew 4. And it’s the same sword He will use to “smite the nations” (Rev. 19:15) when He returns again to rule and reign on this earth. But until then, He’s given you His sword, the Word, and you can use it just like He did. To defeat the enemy when He accuses, attacks, and lies through his teeth to you.
Precious sister, that picture really is YOU. Because the truth about you is this: you are a Warrior Princess.
How I wish you could have been with me this past weekend at the retreat. God’s presence was so powerful. The women of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills embraced God’s Word and the message on spiritual warfare with uninhibited passion and zeal. And as a result, the power and presence of the Holy Spirit visited each of our sessions in a supernatural way.
All of the women who attended the retreat received one of the beautiful, blingy Warrior Princess brooches. And we SO do LOVE the bling don’t we, girl? Every woman took one home to wear and remind her of who she really is: a Warrior Princess. I’ll post pictures from the retreat soon, so you might want to bookmark the blog (or subscribe) and check back later.
In my last post, I shared the Calvary Chapel Warrior Princess retreat video. I also challenged you to read Ephesians to discover who you really are in Christ (Ch. 1-3), and how to live victoriously and wage war against the enemy in your daily life (Ch. 4-6). That challenge still stands. I really want you to read Ephesians.
Also, I’d love to hear your comments, your personal testimonies – your “war stories” with the enemy. But I’d especially love to hear about your Warrior Princess victories.
One more thing. Right now, why don’t you print out a picture of that blingy crown and sword and post it to your ‘fridge? But before you put it up, do something bold. Write these words on it :
Me: Warrior Princess fill in your name. Eph. 6:10-18
Because that, beloved sister, is who you really are.
Keep standing firm.
Love!
